Merrill will be instrumental in helping to advance the HeadLight innovation to the transportation infrastructure community nationwide through statewide expansions
SEATTLE – July 24, 2019 – HeadLight, a transportation infrastructure software company, has hired Chelsea Merrill as National Strategic Account Executive to foster relationships with state and local departments of transportation as well as private sector firms nationwide. Merrill joins HeadLight with more than 13 years of experience overseeing external affairs for Professional Engineers in California Government (PECG). Her specialties in that role included policy analysis and representation for clients on transportation, environment, air quality, water resources management, and related issues, working closely with representatives from government agencies and other stakeholders.
Merrill’s vast infrastructure construction industry knowledge coupled with her years of understanding key business issues facing those in transportation construction has uniquely prepared her for solving the people side of technology business challenges and helping teams succeed with their innovation investments.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) initially partnered with HeadLight to use their software for real-time data management on a widening project in the Bay Area and has continued to expand its use in the state on additional projects. HeadLight, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) inspection platform, compiles visual-based direct input from project inspectors on the job in real-time and is designed “exclusively for transportation construction agencies to gain easier, more effective and less-costly ways” for in-the-field project inspection and verification.
As National Strategic Account Executive, Merrill will lead with a focus on deepening relationships with current HeadLight clients, developing large-scale enterprise deployment strategies and continuing to drive growth of the HeadLight organization.
